"It's Almost Spring" Fox Hunt

Saturday, March 12th,

Starts promptly at 9:00 am

Start Location: Family Fare Parking Log, 28th Ave and Port Sheldon St, Hudsonville - Meet up at the corner.

Warm-up your antennas, charge those Batteries and gather up your maps.  Hunting season is open - and you don't even need a license for this one! For the first time in a while, we're having a fox hunt!  The "Spring is Almost Here" foxhunt willbe held on Saturday morning, March 12th.  Starting place will be the Family Fare parking lot (6480 28th Avenue in Hudsonville, crossroads of Port Sheldon & 28th.)  Be there, get your odometer reading recorded, and be ready to take off at 9:00am.  You'll have two hours to roam the countrysidelooking for the vixen (female fox) before we call it quits and meet-up for the post hunt session where we'll hear all the coulda, woulda, shoulda excuses.

If you have fox hunting equipment, bring a friend along and show them the ropes.  If you don't have fox hunting gear, just show up and ride along with one of the so-called experts.  Remember - being inexperienced doesn't mean you cannot win.  Bring the family!  (Families - bring something to occupy yourselves during the two hour car ride.)

The details are that transmissions will be on 145.530 Mhz, with the backup frequency of 145.580 Mhz.  The vixen will be hiding within ten crow flying miles of the starting point and will be using a foxbox, transmitting one minute ON and two minutes OFF.

Let's plan on a long, fun hunting season this year.

88,

K8AJ
